San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park

It was in May of 2008 that I had the opportunity to visit the Wild Animal Park and the Zoo in San Diego. At the Park they offered (for a fee) a photographic tour on the back of a truck whose floor was 7 feet off the ground. It was perfect for observing and photographing the residents. I am 6'4" and still the giraffe had to lean down to say hello. The females are 19' tall and the males reach 23' tall.
